Château Musar Denomination: Bekaa Valley Country: Lebanon
This wine is a blend of indigenous grape varieties: Obaideh (60%) and Merwah (40%), supposedly the ancestors of Chardonnay, Chasselas and Semillon, grown from ungrafted vines of the original rootstock.
White wine fermented and aged partly in new oak barrels for 9 months and partly in stainless steel vats.
Bottling takes place at the end of the first year, and the wine is finally released to the market after 7 years.
