Caol Ila 12 years is a single malt Scotch whisky, known for its extreme smoothness. It is the smoothest of those made in Islay, where its distillery of the same name dates back to 1846. It is a single malt with a rather light and elegant character, given to it by the tall, onion-shaped stills in which it is distilled.
