Dera Val Cassis Liqueur is one of the traditional liqueurs of the Aran Valley, a result of the relationship between this Pyrenean valley and Occitania.
It is a low alcohol content liqueur (16%) made from black currant fruits.
It is recommended to drink it as an aperitif, mixed with a few drops of white wine, cava or champagne. It can also be enjoyed in a small chilled glass. It is used to make sauces to accompany game dishes or desserts, especially vanilla ice cream.
