
Pernod
The oldest of the French aniseed drinks, Pernod is a secret blend of fennel oils, aromatic plant extracts, distilled alcohol and water. It is an aperitif with a pleasant and distinct flavour. It is an ingredient in fine Mediterranean recipes, with fish and fine seafood.
- Colour: Pernod is a transparent greenish colour, with the typical turbidity of great pastis.
- Aroma: A delicate bouquet dominated by coriander, delicately fragrant grass and mint, appreciated for its freshness and digestive properties.
- Taste: It has a subtle flavour with aromas of anise, coriander and mint. The fruit of a tree grown in northern Vietnam and the southern provinces of China, star anise blends perfectly with aromatic plant essences obtained by distillation.
